
The section of river where the River Dart Hideaways are located is about 8 miles long stretching from Totnes to Dartmouth, along its beautiful winding route are an abundance of beautiful spots to grab a coffee, have a drink or meal. These are all accessible by boat/SUP/Canoe (tide dependent), as well as by foot along the wonderful South West coastal path and of course by car & bike – Here are some of our favourites…

The River Shack, Stoke Gabriel
This lovely riverside café serving stunning food is a great place to sit for an early morning coffee by the Mill pool or enjoy a great lunch or evening meal. A beautifully tranquil location is a favourite spot for crabbing for kids. Accessible by watercraft and car.
Sharpham Vineyard
This stunning location, is a fantastically successful English vineyard producing fine wine & cheese. It is a great place to explore & walk around, sit and have a picnic in the grounds beside the river or indulge in a cheese & wine tasting at the vineyard whilst enjoying the spectacular higher views. Seasonally the great Cellar Door café operates serving local seafood amongst other great dishes. Accessible by watercraft and car.


The Malsters Arms, Tuckenhay
Famously formerly owned by Keith Floyd, a lovely big country waterside pub, which has roaring fires in the winter & is a delight to sit outside by the water in the Summer. Accessible by watercraft as well as car
